OUR DIRECTOR
A few words from our center’s director about her experiences and how she came to work at Corridor Christian ELC:
Hello Parents! My name is Melissa Schilling, I have been with Corridor Christian since December of 2010. Never in my wildest dreams would I have imagined leaving a classroom for this role, but God has a great sense of humor and I have found my happy place at CCELC. I have always known that I want to be in a profession that I was able to work with children, which is why I chose the University of Northern Iowa due to their wonderful education program. Once I graduated with a BA in Elementary Education I began substitute teaching in the Waterloo/Cedar Falls area. After one year of subbing I accepted a position with a non-profit agency in Waterloo, Iowa that allowed me to continue working with children ranging from preschool through sixth grade. My husband accepted an opportunity that lead us to North Liberty, and then lead me to finding this amazing center.
